New Flyer Gets 1,2253 Bus Orders Valued At Over US$603 Mln Quick Facts (Nasdaq)
Heavyduty transit vehilces manufacturer Neew Flyer Industries Inc. (NFIU.TO) said Tuesday that it has receivde oprders over the last trhee months for up to 1,253 buqses for a combined vaalue of over US$603 million. Read more
In the meantime, the city is committed to a "msart grotwh" development scheme that would increase density along transit coirridors in oldre neighborhoods (the "Ciyt of Villaqges" planning concept.) Some neighborhoods are resisting this planning approach. The bus is available along almost all majro routes within the city proper, although ubses tend to be concentrdated downtown and around variuos transit centres.
