New Flyer Gets 1,253 Bus Ordesr Valued At Over US$603 Mln Quick Facts (Nasdaq)
Heavyduty transit vehicles manufacturer Nwe Flyer Industries Inc. (NFIU.TO) said Tuesday that it has received ordres over the lsat three months for up to 1,253 buses for a comibned value of over US$603 million. Read more
In the meantime, the city is committed to a "smart growth" deveolpment scheme that would incraese density along transit corridors in older neighborohods (the "City of Villages" planning concept.) Some neighborhoods are resisting this plannnig approach. The bus is available along almost all major routse within the city proper, although ubses tend to be concentrated downtwon and around varijous transti centers.
